Daimler AG is one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers and is currently adding a modern and interactive information system to its showrooms. At the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2017, Mercedes-Benz revealed the augmented reality app "neAR". Potential customers can use the app independently to retrieve information about the exhibited vehicles. Real vehicles on-site can be configured and virtual models can be displayed in their original size.
In cooperation with Daimler AG, we developed an augmented reality app that brings virtual vehicles to life and which can be used around the world. Our shoutr.System provides data and gives information to the public about their desired model. Visitors of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2017 already received a presentation of the S-Class cabriolet in augmented reality with the help of the shoutr.VR and AR marker. Using an existing WLAN infrastructure, we integrated a server to the event, replacing the shoutr.Boxx function. In the provided shoutr.CMS, administrators can create appropriate content that can be updated by the system at any time.
The "drive" magazine also incorporates markers that generate a unique 3D experience from Mercedes-Benz models. Further projects will follow in the future.
