The special exhibition "Yesterday - Tomorrow" opened on the 30th of March at the Roemer- and Pelizaeus-Museum in Hildesheim. The photo exhibition by Marc Erwin Babej shows monumental photographic reliefs. Babej revives Egyptian art, which died out 2000 years ago and combines it with hieroglyphs and Latin characters. Up to 60 employees were involved in the project, including historians, Egyptologists, dressmaker, hair stylists and makeup artists. In three to four meter high reliefs Babej presents ancient Egypt in two- and three-dimensional photo-realistic media. The exhibition will be on view until the 17th of September in the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum and will be moved to other houses in Europe and America.
